Description
Tudor Cottages, Nos. 1 and 2, are dwellings that may date back to the 16th century, although their exterior is primarily from the 19th century and later. The buildings are constructed from rough rendered rubble and feature a steeply pitched concrete tile roof with two ridge stacks that are roughly capped. The cottages are small and consist of two parts, with one gable flush to the right and two dormers on the left. They are one and a half storeys tall and have three windows, including a two-light 19th-century casement in the gable and two two-light 19th-century chamfered mullion casements with stopped drips; the casement to the right has 'tudor' pointed heads. There are also two early plank doors. Inside, there is a large bressummer fireplace opposite the lobby entry and very heavy chamfered beams in the left half of the building. A small flat-roofed painted extension on the right is not included in the listing.
