Description

The Globe Inn is an early 19th-century inn. The main section has a rendered front, with some painted rubble to an extension, a plinth, concrete tile roofing, and brick gable stacks. The building is situated with its gable end facing the A48 road, and a lower extension to the left. It has three storeys and a basement, with a three-window front. The windows are sash windows with glazing bars to large panes, each with a rudimentary eyebrow-shaped drip. A late 20th-century door is set within a porch with a flat roof, and there is a cellar entry low down on the right. A good contemporary sash window with glazing bars is visible in the gable facing the A48. The extension is two storeys high and features casement windows and a stone external staircase.
