Description
May Lawn is a detached house built in the early 19th century. It features a plain, rendered plinth and walls covered in wet dash render, topped with a slate roof. The house is three windows wide and has a later single-bay, two-storey extension on the right. The main section is symmetrical, with a six-panel front door accessed by three steps. Above the door is a semi-circular fanlight that has unusual radiating glazing bars. Flanking the door are reeded pilasters that continue around the fanlight, culminating in a projecting 'keystone'. The windows are four-pane wide sash windows. The roof is hipped, and there are end projecting chimneys with brick stacks that rise above the eaves level.
