Description
The Paddocks is an 18th-century dwelling located on the east side of High Street in Newnham. It features a rough rendered exterior, a wood parapet cornice, and a Welsh slate roof. The building has a wide street frontage and a deep return wing on the left side. It stands three storeys tall with four windows; the first and second floors have sashes with glazing bars, while the ground floor has two sashes without bars. There is a canted oriel window that spans the two upper floors on the top left, and a canted two-storey bay window on the right. The entrance includes a panelled door with a fanlight and a moulded pilaster surround, along with a modern ridge porch positioned off-centre to the left. The property extends to the right, connecting to Paddocks Cottage. It is principally included for its group value.
