Description
Lloyds Bank is an early 20th-century bank located at the corner of Market Place and St. John Street in Coleford. The building is constructed from limestone ashlar and features a slate roof. It has a polygonal shape due to its corner position and is designed in a classical style. The bank is a single storey with a parapet and includes two large Venetian windows, one facing each street. There is a corner doorway flanked by small rectangular windows, with a stone doorhead above it that displays the word "BANK." A moulded stone cornice projects forward and back, featuring the words "LLOYDS BANK LIMITED" in stone at the frieze level above both Venetian windows. This building is included for its group value with the nearby Angel Hotel in Market Place.
