Description
These are two semi-detached cottages located about 35 meters south of the Village Hall, across the River Churn. They date from the 18th century and are constructed of random coursed rubble stone with a stone slate roof, featuring stone end stacks and a central ridge stack. The cottages form a single long range and are single storey with an attic. There are four gabled dormers on the eaves, each with paired 3-pane casements. The ground floor has four similar windows below the dormers, with large quoins and stone lintels, except for the far right window which has a timber lintel. Each cottage has a central plank door set in a quoin surround, topped with a flat stone hood supported by brackets. At the time of the survey in July 1985, the cottage to the west was empty.
