Description
This is a chest tomb located about 12 meters north of the main door in the grounds of Fairford United Church. It dates from the late 18th century and features an inscription on the north side that reads "Edward B------ 1820." The tomb is made of limestone and has a broad ogee cap that lacks a finial, resting on a broad cyma moulding with a cavetto plinth at the base. The end panels are incised with an ogee design and have fluted pilaster returns, while the sides are plain but bear worn inscriptions. The dimensions of the tomb are approximately 1,425 millimeters long, 680 millimeters wide, and about 1,200 millimeters high.
