Description
Hill House is a detached house dating from the mid-18th century. It is constructed from coursed limestone rubble with dressed stone quoins and features a concrete tile roof along with 20th-century cream-coloured brick stacks. The building has a rectangular plan with a lean-to extension at the rear and on the left gable end, as well as a single-bay extension on the right gable end.
The house is two storeys high with an attic and has single-storey extensions. The facade has two windows, which are lit by 2 and 3-light double-chamfered stone-mullioned casements that have early fastenings. There is a relieving arch above the ground floor windows. The roof features two 20th-century two-light dormers that are also hung with concrete tile. An off-centre right gabled porch has a fielded panelled door with two glazed panes at the top. The extensions at either gable end have plank doors, and there are gable-end stacks. The interior has not been inspected.
