Description
Nos 63 and 64 are a pair of estate cottages built in the early 19th century. They are constructed from coursed squared and dressed limestone and feature a stone slate roof. The cottages have ashlar stacks, with two of them restored in the 20th century. The buildings have a rectangular plan and are one and a half storeys high, presenting a symmetrical facade for each cottage.
Each cottage has four half dormers on the first floor, which contain 2-light stone-mullioned casements, and four 2-light stone-mullioned casements on the ground floor. Centrally located part-glazed doors, also from the 20th century, provide access to each cottage. The gable-end and axial stacks are set on plinths, and the gable ends and dormers feature flat coping. Moulded kneelers are also present. The interiors have not been inspected. The property is owned by the National Trust.
