Description

This is a detached cottage located in Ampney Crucis, likely dating to the late 17th or early 18th century. It is built of rubble stone with a stone slate roof and a central stone ridge stack. The cottage consists of a single range with a small rear extension, and incorporates what may have been a former agricultural building on its right-hand side. Originally, the layout may have been a through passage. The cottage has two gables of differing sizes, each containing a 20th-century two-light casement window with timber lintels. On the ground floor, there is a three-light wood casement to the left, a recessed plank door, and a two-light wood casement to the right, all with timber lintels.
