Description
Tudor Cottage is a semi-detached house that was likely originally part of Tudor House. It dates from the late 18th century and is constructed of coursed and squared stone in uneven courses, featuring large alternating flush quoins. The property has a stone slate roof and a stone end stack on the right side.
The cottage consists of two storeys, with what was originally a single-storey entrance wing on the right that was raised to two storeys in the 19th century. The main section has two windows with 12-pane sashes set in flush quoin surrounds, featuring large lintels, original glazing bars, and crown glass in the upper sashes, with some crown glass also in the lower sashes. There is a similar 12-pane window in the 19th-century first-floor extension on the right. Below this window is a door with a 6-pane hopper light, both having wedge flush lintels. The door itself is a four-panel design with fielded panels and a blind shallow fanlight above. A moulded string course runs between the floors.
