Description
The stableblock, located approximately 10 metres west of Greendrive Farmhouse, dates from the late 18th to early 19th century. It is constructed of coursed squared and dressed limestone, featuring a stone slate roof on the south side and artificial stone slate on the north side. The building has a rectangular plan and stands two storeys high, with stabling on the ground floor and a hay loft above. The ground floor includes three plank doors, with a central door positioned under a stone landing at the top of a flight of brick and stone steps that lead to a plank door for the loft. Additionally, there are three small single-light windows on the ground floor and a pitching door with remnants of a pulley above the left gable end, associated with the Barrington Park Estate.
