Description

The barn at Harnhill Mill is a structure dating from the late 18th century to the early 19th century. It is built from random coursed rubble with quoins and features a stone slate roof. The barn is a long range, consisting of a single storey and a loft, with an additional section added to the east and a hipped lean-to slate roof on the west side. The south wall is mostly blind, containing only one doorway at the west end. On the north side, there is a projecting gabled cart entry to the right, which has a boarded gable and double timber doors. To the left, there is a low double-width entry, along with two 2-light window openings and a long pitch hole. The additional end wing includes a door opening and two small square window openings.
