Description
This is a large cottage, originally probably two cottages, dating from the mid to late 17th century. The exterior is of random coursed rubble with quoins, and it has a stone slate roof. There are stone end and ridge stacks, with an external stack featuring an offset to the right. The cottage has a single front range with a small, rear outshut on the left side. It is a single-storey building with an attic. Three small gables front the property, each featuring a two-light stone mullion window with hollow moulding, a straight dripmould, and leaded casements. Similar windows are found on the ground floor. Two doors are located between the front gables. To the left, there is possibly a 19th-century insertion or replacement of a chamfered stone lintel, above a recessed plank door. To the right, there is a plank door within a wooden surround, topped with a timber lintel and a sloping porch hood supported by wooden 'S'-shape brackets.
