Description

Wychelm is a detached house dating from the early 18th century, with a later wing added in the 1840s. It is constructed of rubble stone with flush quoins, and has a stone slate roof, with brick end stacks that have been renewed on the left side. The main range is composed of two widely spaced windows, each with 2-light stone mullions within flush surrounds, and iron casements. The ground floor has the same window style, flanking a 20th-century door with a large flat stone hood supported by curved stone brackets. Internal shutters remain on the ground floor. A western range was restored, featuring renewed concrete windows. The original service wing to the right has a stone ridge stack with a moulded cornice and a small hip roof to a rear wing. A 1840s extension, inscribed with the date "184- TKR," contains a small gable and a cambered-head doorway with a 20th-century door.
