Description

This is a roadside cross located north of the church path in Ampney Crucis, dating from the medieval period, likely from the late 14th century to early 15th century. It features two large square steps and a square base that is chamfered towards the top. The base is partly held together by iron cramps, and approximately 0.70 meters of the shaft remains. At the time of the survey in August 1985, the cross was noted to be in poor condition.
