Description

The Lodge is a small, detached lodge building originally associated with Ampney Park Estate. It was constructed in the mid-17th century, with a later rear wing added in 1893, as indicated by the rainwater head. The lodge is built of rubble stone with a stone slate roof and stone end stacks, which have been renewed on the left side. It has a double-range plan with two storeys. The front elevation features two windows, each with two lights, incorporating stone mullions and transoms, a square hoodmould, and leaded iron casements. An entrance is located on the right return, accessed through a small gabled porch with a large stone lintel and a square hoodmould, leading to a plank inner door.
