Description

Manor Farm is a detached farmhouse dating from the late 17th to early 18th century, with some 19th-century alterations, including a garden front that was refaced around 1860. The building is constructed from coursed squared and dressed limestone, topped with a concrete tile roof and features ashlar stacks. It has an L-shaped plan with a late 18th to early 19th-century extension at the rear left in relation to the garden front.

The garden front is symmetrical and consists of two storeys with five windows. The windows are plate glass sashes set in basket-headed frames with horns, all within moulded stilted-headed architraves. A central 19th-century plank door, which has a light above, is framed by a similar surround and is accessed by four steps. A string course runs between the ground and first-floor windows, and the gable-end features saddleback coping with small kneelers at the eaves, along with gable-end stacks.

The interior has not been inspected, but it is reputed to contain an early 18th-century open well stair with a moulded handrail and turned balusters, as well as reused 17th-century panelling and a cellar, according to the Victoria County History of Worcestershire, Volume III, published in 1913.
