Description
Manor Farmhouse is a detached farmhouse dating to the late 17th and early 18th centuries, with later 19th and 20th-century additions. It is constructed of coursed, squared, and dressed limestone with a stone slate roof. The stacks are of ashlar and artificial stone. The main rectangular block has a rear stair projection, a 19th-century extension to the rear left, and a 20th-century extension on the right gable-end. There is also a single-storey extension attached to the right side. A 20th-century flat-roofed single-storey extension at the rear is not of special interest.
The main farmhouse is two storeys and has an attic lit by two 2-light gabled roof dormers with horizontal glazing bars. The front facade has five windows, all with 2 and 3-light double-chamfered, stone-mullioned casements and leaded panes, each with a stopped hood over the ground floor windows. The left-hand bay has 2 and 3-light metal casements in segmental-headed surrounds. A former doorway is blocked towards the left end, and a blocked doorway with a flat-chamfered surround, imposts, a keystone, and a stopped hood is towards the right-hand end. Current access is via the 19th-century extension at the rear and the 20th-century extension on the right gable-end. Five 'S' tie plates are visible. There are twin axial ashlar stacks with moulded capping, plus gable-end and axial stacks. The interior was not inspected.
