Description

MAUGERSBURY MAUGERSBURY VILLAGE SP 12 NE 3/163 Rock House 25.8.60 II Detached house. Late C17 - early C18, mid C19 and late C19. Coursed squared and dressed limestone, stone slate roof, ashlar. Rectangular main body with mid C19 granary (now converted) attached right possibly on the foundations of a late C17 - early C18 single storey building, late C19 former store (now converted) attached right. Late C17 - early C18 main body (left); 2 storeys and cellar, 2-windowed facade, C20 door with glazing bars and C20 stopped hood lower right, former granary (centre); 2 storeys and attic lit by two 2-light flat-roofed, roof dormers, 2-windowed facade, former store (right); 2 storeys, 2-windowed. Windows, original and C19-C20 two 3 and 4-light stone-mullioned casements with and without stopped hoods. Former gable end (now axial) stacks, saddleback gable-end coping with moulded kneelers, flat gable-end coping at right-hand end. Interior not inspected.
