Description
Lenthalls is a detached house located in Broadwell, dating from the late 17th century to early 18th century, with a 20th-century porch. The building is constructed from coursed squared and dressed limestone and features a limestone slate roof with an ashlar stack. The main body of the house is almost rectangular and has a small store attached to the left-hand wall. It is two storeys high and has a two-windowed facade. The windows are double-chamfered, stone-mullioned, with two and three lights, transoms, leaded lights, and stopped hoods. The central front door, which is made of planks, dates from the 19th century and is set within a plain limestone surround that includes a keystone and imposts; it is positioned off-centre to the right. There is also a plank door leading to the single-storey store that is set back on the left, with a single light window to the right. The main body has a hipped parallel ridge roof, and there is a stack located at the gable end of the left-hand ridge at the rear. The interior has not been inspected.
