Description

Rectory Farm is an 18th-century former rectory, now a house, located in Broadwell village. The building is constructed of coursed squared and dressed limestone with a stone slate roof and ashlar stacks. The main body of the building projects to the rear and to the right, with a staircase projection forming an angle. The house has two storeys and an attic, with three 2-light roof dormers featuring leaded lights. The facade is symmetrical, with three windows on the front. It has wooden cross-mullioned windows with leaded panes, set within plain limestone architraves and keystones. Stone mullioned windows with stopped hoods light the cellars. The central front door is from the 18th century, featuring six panels, the uppermost of which are glazed, and is accessed via six stone steps. The left gable end has a flat coping with a roll saddle. A right gable-end stack and an axial stack, offset to the left, both have moulded cappings. The interior has not been inspected.
