Description

Fletchers is a former farmhouse, now a detached house, built in two phases during the late 17th and early 18th centuries, with 20th-century additions. It is constructed of large blocks of coursed squared and dressed limestone, with a concrete tile roof and ashlar stacks. The house has an L-shaped plan, with the earliest section forming the front right portion, extended to the left gable end at a slightly later date, and a 20th-century extension projecting to the rear left. The upper floor, including the attic, is lit by three 2-light roof dormers with leaded panes. The main facade has four windows, each with 2, 3, or 4-light double-chamfered stone-mullioned casements and stopped hoods. A blocked former front door is located lower left in the earliest section. Single-light windows with hoods are present in the right gable end. The house features a gable-end stack and an axial stack, both with moulded capping. The gable ends have flat coping. The interior remains uninspected.
