Description

Lodestone is a detached house built in the early 18th century. It features random coursed rubble stone with quoins and a stone slate roof, which has stone end stacks topped with oversailing brick caps. The house has a single front range of two storeys with an attic in the gable ends, and a rear two-storey extension that forms an L-shape. The front facade includes two windows with 2-light stone mullions and transoms set in plain stone surrounds. There are two similar windows on the ground floor, along with a central door that has four flush panels and a timber lintel, topped by a 19th-century gabled porch hood supported by struts.
