Description

Downington Grange is a detached house dating from the early to mid-19th century. The main front range is two storeys and an attic, with two gables to the south. It has rendered walls on rubble stone construction, a stone slate roof, and ashlar end stacks. A lower rear range, built of brick and covered with a slate roof, extends to the north. The front range has three windows; stone mullions divide the windows, with three lights on the first floor, two lights in each gable, and four lights on the ground floor. All windows feature square hoodmoulds and flat-arched wood casements within moulded stone frames. A central gabled porch has kneelers and a moulded flat stone arch within a square surround.
