Description

The gazebo located to the south-west of Butlers Court Cottages in the garden of Greenwood dates from the early to mid-18th century. It is constructed of roughcast with alternating stone quoins and features a swept pyramidal stone slate roof topped with a finial and a moulded stone eaves cornice. On the west side, there is a small ashlar flue set diagonally, which also has a moulded cornice. The structure is square in shape and has 15-pane sash windows on the south and east sides, complete with external folding wood shutters. Access is provided by a plain boarded door on the north side, which is reached by seven stone steps, each with a moulded edge.
