Description

BIBURY THE GREEN, Arlington SP 1006-1106 (north side) 11/95 Witt's Cottage GV II Small detached house. Mid C18; C20 addition. Random and coursed rubble limestone; brick rebuilt chimney; stone slate roof. Single-storey with attic; simple rectangular building with outshut on north east side. Scattered fenestration includes 2-light casements with flat hoodmould to south west side and in south east gable end. Off-centre doorway with C20 gabled porch to north west end; gable-mounted chimney above. C20 rear outshut has gabled dormer with stone slate cheeks. Interior not inspected. This very small house occupies a crucial position on The Green, forming part of the group.
