Description

This is a house built in 1782, part of a row of buildings on The Green in Bibury. It is constructed from roughly shaped and squared rubble limestone, with chimneys rebuilt in blue brick and a roof covered in stone slate. The house is two storeys high with an attic. The front has a two-window arrangement. All windows are 2-light casements with recessed chamfered mullions; the ground floor windows have a continuous hood mould, while the upper floor windows have individual flat hoods. A central doorway has a flat stone porch supported by shaped brackets, and a 4-panel door. A datestone above the doorway reads “T.J. 1782.” There is a central attic dormer. Gable end chimneys are present, and a lean-to outshut is located at the south east end of the building. The interior remains unexamined.
