Description

Embry Cottage is a house located in a row, built in 1782. It features coursed and squared rubble limestone with a stone slate roof. The building is two-storey and has a front with two half gables and a two-window arrangement. All the windows are recessed, chamfered, 2-light mullioned casements with flat hoodmoulds, except for a 3-light window on the ground floor to the right. There is a doorway to the right, which has a flat porch hood supported by brackets and a 20th-century door. The interior was not inspected. This cottage is a surprisingly late example of the local gabled house style, contemporary with the adjoining building from 1782 to the southeast.
