Description

The barn at Manor Farm Buildings is dated and initialled 'E/1861' above the main doorway on the west side. It has a rectangular plan and features an 'L'-shaped range of shelter sheds on the east. The structure is built from limestone rubble with dressed stone quoins and has an artificial stone slate roof.

On the west side, there are double doors located off-centre to the right, a pitching window in the upper left, and stone steps leading up to a plank door for the loft on the left. Each of the three openings has doors on runners, with stone shuttered ledges serving as hoods above them. To the left of the stone steps, there is a shuttered segmental-headed opening at ground floor level. The north gable end features a single-width segmental-headed doorway with a plank door on runners and a segmental-headed pitching window. The south gable end has a blocked owl hole, above which is a carved figure of an owl.

The east front has double doors on runners located off-centre to the left, with a stone ledge acting as a hood and a landing for a single row of pigeon holes above the door. There is also a segmental-headed window in the upper right. Ventilation slits are present on both the east and west sides. The shelter sheds have timber uprights dividing each bay, with padstones now clad in concrete. Inside the barn, there are collar and tie beam roof trusses.
