Description
Blakemoor is a detached house located in Chedworth Village, dating from the late 17th century with a slightly later extension. The building is constructed of limestone rubble with dressed stone quoins and features a stone slate roof, along with 20th-century ashlar stacks. The main body of the house has a rectangular plan, with an almost contemporary extension at right angles on the north-west side, creating a 'T'-shaped overall layout. There is a single-storey outbuilding at the south-east corner, which is not of special interest. The house is 1.5 storeys high.
On the south-west front, which faces the road, there is a three-light double-chamfered stone-mullioned casement window with a stopped hood. To the right, there is a 20th-century five-light bow window. Above this, a gablet features a 2-light casement, and to the left, there is a 2-light half dormer. The left gable end has a three-light double-chamfered stone-mullioned casement on the ground floor, with a 2-light 19th-century casement and a timber lintel above it. The attic includes a single slit light with diamond-leaded panes. The interior has not been inspected.
