Description
Throssells Cottage is a semi-detached house located at the end of a row, likely built in the 17th century. The exterior features roughly coursed limestone rubble with stone slate roofing at the front and concrete tiles at the rear. There are 20th-century artificial stone chimney stacks. The house has a rectangular lobby-entrance plan leading to the main body, which is 1½ storeys tall and has a two-windowed facade. The upper floor has two-light wood casements with gables above, while the ground floor features three-light casements. All windows are fitted with horizontal glazing bars and timber lintels. A central 20th-century double front door is present, along with a boot scraper to the left of the door. There is a double axial stack. The interior has not been inspected. A large 20th-century extension at the rear is noted but is not of special interest.
