Description
Greystones is a house in a row, dating from the 17th century, with a facade that is dated 1831 on the keystone above the semi-circular arch over the front door. The building is constructed of roughly coursed limestone rubble, with the facade featuring coursed squared and dressed limestone, ashlar stacks, and a stone slate roof. It has a rectangular plan with a through passage and is almost symmetrical. The two-storey facade has two windows, which are lit by 20th-century twelve-pane sash windows. The front door, located off-centre to the right, is a 20th-century six-panel door with a fanlight above it. At the rear, there are two three-light double-chamfered stone-mullioned casements and a twelve-pane sash window. To the right of the latter, there is a 19th-century part-glazed door with coloured marginal glazing set within a flat-chamfered surround. The house features a decorative wrought iron porch with a semi-circular metal canopy. The attic is lit by two-light roof dormers at the rear, and there are gable-end stacks. The interior has not been inspected.
