Description

Antelope Corner is a house located at the end of a row, dating from the early to mid-19th century. It features an ashlar facade with coursed squared and dressed limestone elsewhere, topped with a slate roof and an ashlar chimney stack. The two-bay facade was constructed at the same time as the facades of The Antelope and The Annex. The building has two storeys and an attic, which is illuminated by two flat-roofed 20th-century roof dormers with glazing bars. The entrance includes a fielded five-panel door with a fanlight, set back within a semi-circular headed surround that has a pointed keystone. There is a boot scraper in the door reveal. At the right gable end on the first floor, there are 20th-century French doors leading to a 20th-century cast iron balcony, with a two-light casement window above and a 20th-century glazed door below. The gable ends have flat coping, and there is a stack at the left gable end. This building is included for its group value.
