Description
This barn, located approximately 50 meters northeast of Eastleach Downs Farmhouse, dates back to 1794. It is constructed of random rubble limestone and features a stone slate roof. The barn has four bays and includes porches on both the north and south sides, with an outshut on the south side.
On the south side, there is a central parapet gabled porch that has plank barn doors and a timber lintel. Above the porch, there is a segmental arched loft opening and a datestone in the gable apex. To the right of the porch is the outshut, which has a catslide roof.
The north side features a barn doorway with a timber lintel and plank doors, along with a lean-to porch. There are triangular vents located on the sides and ends of the barn, and all gable copings have stepped bedding. Inside, the barn has a collar and tie beam truss roof, with a loft at the west end and above the south porch. The attached cart sheds and stables are not considered of special interest.
