Description
Little Lemhill Farmhouse is a farmhouse, originally dating from the late 17th or early 18th century, with alterations and extensions in the 19th century. The west side and rear are built of coursed rubble stone, while the rest has a roughcast finish. It has a stone slate roof with an ashlar stack at the left end and two ridge stacks, along with some brick stacks at the rear. The south front is arranged in two sections with a double-range addition to the rear on the left, and several rear extensions in the centre and to the right. The left side of the south front features a stone bay with a small gable forming a full dormer window, containing a 2-light stone mullion and transom window above and a 3-light window on the ground floor. The remaining portion of the front projects forward, displaying the original range with three 16-pane sash windows in shallow reveals, three on the ground floor. A similar full dormer is located to the left of the centre, one window pane being 12 panes, with a 12-pane window directly above it. Below this is a 20th-century fully glazed door set within a chamfered stone surround. The main entrance is on the west side of the stone bay, featuring a plain chamfered stone surround with a 20th-century timber door, and a moulded round stone window with cross glazing to the right. The rear range to the left of the entrance has two 12-pane sash windows, one on each floor.
