Description
Brooklands Farmhouse is a Grade II listed building that was originally two adjoining cottages. It likely dates from the late 17th century on the right side and the early 18th century on the left. The structure is built from rubble stone and features an artificial stone slate roof with brick stacks at each end. It is a single range of two storeys and an attic, with a small lean-to on the left and a larger 20th-century lean-to on the right.
The right side of the building includes a three-light stone mullion window in a flush stone surround on both the first and ground floors. The left side has a two-light wood mullion window on the first floor and a three-light window on the ground floor, both with timber lintels. A central projecting 20th-century gabled stone porch adds to the entrance. There is also a single gabled dormer on the right side of the roof.
