Description
The Thatched Cottage is a detached cottage, likely built in the early 18th century. It is constructed of rubble stone and features a thatched roof with a scalloped ridge, along with thatched decorations of an owl on the west side and a squirrel on the north side. The building has two stone chimney stacks and is arranged in an L-shape over two storeys. On the south side, there are two wide paired casements on the upper floor, which have eyebrows above them. The ground floor includes two and three-light casements with timber lintels. The main entrance is located at the rear on the north side, featuring a central wide projecting section with a lean-to roof and a thatched eyebrow above, along with two small square windows.
