Description

Mill Farmhouse is a late 17th-century farmhouse situated in Kemble Ewen. The building is constructed of random coursed rubble stone with a stone slate roof and stone end stacks. It likely originated as a through-passage plan, consisting of a main range with a small rear extension, and extends over two storeys with an attic. The front features two gables, each with a two-light wooden casement window in the attic, a three-light window on the first floor, and a three-light window on the ground floor; all the windows have timber lintels. The central entrance is framed by a moulded wooden doorcase, with an arched door of six fielded panels, the top two panels following the arch to form a decorative shape. A projecting, boarded gabled porch was added in the 19th century.
