Description
This is an unidentified chest tomb located about 5 meters northeast of the path crossing in the churchyard of the Church of St. Mary. It dates from the mid to late 18th century and is made of limestone. The tomb features a flat top, a moulded plinth, and cyma recta moulded capping. It has heavy lyre ends, which are partially missing on the west side, and a central motif of a skull and crossed bones on the east side. The north panel is almost completely eroded, while the south panel displays an oval wreathed panel with cherub heads on each side and an inscription that is nearly indecipherable, although the name "John Wi------" is just visible.
