Description
Manor Farmhouse is a late 18th-century farmhouse that underwent alterations in the early to mid-19th century. It is constructed from coursed and dressed stone, featuring alternating flush quoins on the right side and a partly channelled quoin strip on the left. The south side is faced in incised render, and the building has a stone slate roof with a hipped corner to the left, along with ashlar end and ridge stacks that have a moulded cornice.
Originally designed in an L-plan, the farmhouse includes a 19th-century angle wing and a single-storey wing to the right of the front range, as well as an additional smaller adjoining wing at the rear. The structure stands two storeys tall with an attic. The front façade has two plain 20th-century two-light casements, a three-light window to the left on the ground floor, and a central stone projecting gabled porch from the 19th century. This porch features a coped verge, kneelers, a ball finial, and a chamfered Tudor archway with a 20th-century inset timber door and frame, flanked by small pointed glazed arches.
There are two gabled dormers on the eaves, each with 2-light casements, decorative barge boards, and finials. The left-hand return is the south elevation, which has similar fenestration with three windows and the same porch. The rear roof slope of the east range has a mansard roof, partly covered in concrete tiles.
