Description
North Farmhouse is a farmhouse built in the mid to late 18th century, with some 19th-century additions. It features coursed and dressed stone with alternating flush quoins and a stone slate roof. The building has an L-plan layout, consisting of two storeys and an attic, with a small two-storey wing at the rear on the right, creating a U shape.
The front of the house has three windows, which are two-light chamfered stone mullions with plain casements. There are two windows on the ground floor, along with a central 20th-century glazed porch and door. The left-hand return facing the street has one similar window in the attic, while the rear wing has 12-pane sash windows set into plain walls, adjacent to a later outbuilding.
The outbuilding features two cambered head shuttered openings on the rear gable end, along with two plank doors and two casement windows on the inner face. The main house has a central rear gable and scattered fenestration on the rear elevations.
