Description
Westend House is a farmhouse that likely dates back to the late 17th century, with later expansions to the front right in the 18th century and to the left in the 20th century. The building is constructed of rubble stone and features a stone slate roof, along with stone end and ridge stacks that have a moulded cornice. It consists of a single main range that is two storeys high with an attic, and a two-storey wing to the right front, creating an L-shape. The 20th-century addition to the left is not of special interest.
The core of the farmhouse has two windows on the first floor, which are two-light chamfered stone mullions, and below them are three-light windows with square hoodmoulds on the ground floor, flanking a blocked original doorway. There are also two very small gabled two-light dormers. The stone doorcase is located at the angle of the building and features a panelled door, while the windows on the rear are sash windows. Internal shutters are still present on the ground floor. The complete exterior of the building is not accessible.
