Description
Trull House is a country house built in the mid-19th century, which incorporates part of an early 18th-century house at the rear. It is constructed of coursed rubble stone with ashlar dressings and features a Cotswold stone slate roof. The house has three triple-flue stone stacks with elaborate designs, including one octagonal ridge stack located to the right of the center and two single stacks on the rear wing. Designed in the Tudor style, the house has an 'L' plan and consists of two storeys and an attic.
The nearly symmetrical facade has six bays, with five arranged symmetrically around two gables, each topped with a ball finial on a square base, and an additional bay to the right. The symmetrical section includes two square four-light bays beneath the gables, with 2/4/2-light windows in between. The right-hand bay features a four-light window. Each light has a shallow round arch single panel with two Perpendicular panels above, forming a square head, and most of the single panels are latticed.
There is a central porch below the four-light window, which has a cornice and blocking course, along with wide double doors set in an arch beneath a square hoodmould. Additionally, there is an open loggia with a stone balustrade above on the southwest front. The rear wall of the northwest wing includes a small oval light in the gable with central elliptical glazing.
