Description
Evergreen Cottage is a building that was originally several cottages and is now one house, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of rubble stone and features a Cotswold stone slate roof. The building has an 'L' shape with a small extension at the angle. The southeast wing has three gables and two stone ridge stacks, while the southwest wing has two gable stacks and one ridge stack. All stacks are made of ashlar and include moulding and cornices.
The cottage is two storeys high with an attic. The southeast front has five pointed windows with single lights made of wood. Each gable also has a similar style window, but these are made of iron and are latticed. On the ground floor, there are six windows of the same style, with a door located towards the right side between the fourth and fifth windows. The southwest front features four windows on the first floor and five on the ground floor, all matching the style of the southeast front. There is a gabled half-glazed porch from the 20th century to the left of the centre. One opening on the right side has been partially blocked to create a wider window, and the door appears to have been relocated.
