Description
Grove Farmhouse is a farmhouse dated 1741, as indicated by the datestone "RWH 1741". It is constructed from coursed rubble stone and features flush stone quoins. The roof is hipped and covered with Cotswold stone slate, complete with a central valley and stone stacks on the east and west ridges. The eaves cornice is moulded and coved. The building has two storeys with an attic and now includes two skylights on each roof face. It has a square range with a lean-to along the north side. The south front showcases three 12-pane sash windows with plain stone architraves, and there is a plat band just above the ground floor windows. The first floor has two similar windows, and the central entrance features a round-headed doorcase with a moulded architrave, a six-panel partially glazed door, and a radial fanlight. Some internal joinery remains intact.
