4/61 Coach-house to north of stable block at Cherington Park

GV II

Large coach house. Late C18/early C19. Rubble stone faced in ashlar to front and sides. Double hipped Cotswold stone slate roof. Single storey and loft. 3 large slightly flattened arches, 2 side ones blocked in, on impost blocks and with emphasised keystones. Entrance through centre arch with flanking 6-panel doors under radial fanlights into blocked bays at each side. Small lateral stone stack in south east corner. Various windows on west side, including one large lunette on ground floor and 2 circular windows at attic level. Vaulted chambers at rear (north side). On north wall 2 blocked openings with stone architraves which follow line of offset at about lm from ground. East facade is symmetrical with 2 large lunettes in centre (blocked to right), segmental headed windows to each side and 3 circular windows above of which the central one is larger.
