Description
Terrance House and Hughenden House are two adjoining houses that form one building, dating from the late 19th century, likely refronting an older structure. The front is made of ashlar stone on coursed rubble, with the front roof too high to be visible. The rear of Terrance House features stone slates, while Hughenden House has asbestos cement slates. There are rendered and brick end stacks, with a central stone ridge stack raised in brick. The building consists of a single deep range of three storeys.
The second floor has three windows with plain cambered lights, while the first floor features round-headed windows with moulding above the imposts, arranged in a 2/3/2-light stone mullion pattern. A small stone eaves cornice with ball flowers is present, along with a panelled plat band below the first floor. The ground floor has a 2/4/2-light arrangement with doors between, featuring a continuous flat moulding and dropped keystones. Each round-headed light has a circle and mouchettes above, situated below a flat moulding. The doors have shouldered arches, plain fanlights, and 20th-century doors.
