Description
This barn, located approximately 30 meters south of Baxter's Farmhouse, dates from the early 19th century. It is constructed of random rubble limestone and features a stone slate roof. The barn has six bays and includes a north porch with an off-centre gabled design. The porch has a doorway with a timber lintel and plank doors, as well as a small loft opening with a timber lintel and plank door. At the ridge of the porch, there is a small square columbarium lantern. The east side of the porch has a loft with a small gable. On the south side of the barn, there is a main doorway fitted with corrugated sliding barn doors, along with a smaller doorway to the right that also has sliding doors. The barn is equipped with triangular vents and a loft doorway with a timber lintel at the east end, as well as a slit vent in the gable apex. Inside, the barn features a six-bay collar and tie-beam truss roof.
