Description
Avenue Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the late 17th century to early 18th century. It is constructed of random coursed rubble stone with alternating flush quoins and features a stone slate roof. The building has a stone end stack on the left and a stone ridge stack. It is a single long range of two storeys and an attic, with a large lean-to on the left-hand return.
The farmhouse has three small gables, grouped as one on the left and two on the right, each containing a small square single light window. On the first floor, there are three two-light windows, while the ground floor has a three-light window, with the central one converted to a wide two-light window. All windows have concrete lintels. The main entrance is a fully glazed door with a small gabled hood, located to the far right, with a plain boarded door also present to the right of the left-hand gable. At the rear, there is a lean-to that forms a catslide.
